Cinsar Kennels Foundation Pedigrees.

Comming Full Circle

This page has been built so that you can follow the breeding's that Tom and Woodrow and others like Stafford Compton have done through the years.  I have tried to reconstruct the information to the best of my ability.  What I hope to show you tis he type of dogs that Tom and Woodrow started with and how they bred and crosses  their bloodline through the years.

The dogs I received from Tom after he turned the kennel over to me have been a pleasure to work with and have suited me well for guiding and I enjoy training and working with these dogs.   Tom started with some wonderful breeding stock going back to some of the best lines in England.  As I have looked at the pedigrees and developed my own data base of dogs.

I realized that the next chapter in this bloodline needs to go back to the cradle of where Tom's initial dogs came from.  There will be a new chapter in the next few years written on the dogs that Tom has helped me import from England.  I have continued on my own to import additional blood lines and am pleased with the results that I am seeing in these new imports.

As with everything in life new chapters are being written every day.  So it is with the Cinsar kennel and the new imports.  These imports will allow me the diversity for breeding and keeping a low COI as well as working with dogs that have been breed for foot hunters but still possess drive and passion to hunt; however, a calmness as well.

For over 30 years, I have been breeding and training dogs.  I started out racing sleddogs and kept a very large kennel and did all my own breeding.  As I got older and decided I didn't need to get hurt tearing through the woods at 20+ mph on a 20-pound sled... it was time for a change.  Then came Tom and his dogs and another new chapter.

As a grouse guide and hunter I know what I am looking for when I hunt and in guiding what I need from a dog.  My goal is to maintain the quality of dogs that Tom has given me but to also allow for some diversity in bloodlines by continuing to bring in some of the best foot hunting lines from overseas.  As of this writing we now have dogs here with pedigrees that go back to some of the best stock from the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, and New Zeeland.  We will also incorporate at times the older US field trial lines that where known to produce excellent grouse dogs.  Many of these lines are almost lost.

The future is going to be interesting and I look forward to working and developing and blending these imports into the line that Tom and Woodrow developed close to 40 years ago.  My goal is for a natural dog that is easily trained and takes little to control that works with you and for you in the grouse woods but then becomes your companion in your home when the hunt is over.
