Northwind Grouse & Woodcock Guided Hunts Grouse and Woodcock Hunting Specialists
Ann Jandernoa Skip Souther Ann Jandernoa is co-owner of Northwind Enterprises,LLC, graduate Forester, author of the Northwind Grouse Habitat Maps, creator and primary instructor of the Northwind Grouse Clinic program, and experienced, licensed, and insured grouse and woodcock hunting guide. Ann's expertise is in doing her "homework". Starting in early Spring and continuing through early November, Ann spends a good deal of time scouting prime habitat, conducting drumming counts, locating conveys, and anticipating the needs of her clients. Ann is known for taking her clients well off the beaten path, through the thickest cover, into the "back" of the habitat where there has been little or no hunting pressure. If you want to hunt at a leisurely pace, sticking primarily to the trails, Ann is not the guide for you (although she will slow down if you ask her nicely). On the other hand, if you want a guide who knows the habitat, hunts hard, and will her best to find birds, then Ann is your guide. If you are interested in a both a guided hunt and Grouse Clinic delivered concurrently, ask to book with Ann. Skip Souther is co-owner of Northwind Enterprises, professional bird dog trainer, and licensed and insured grouse and woodcock guide. Skip's specialty is "trail hunts" (although he enjoys busting brush) and working with client's who would like assistance with hunting over their young dogs. Skip subscribes to the belief that grouse and woodcock hunting is more about working with the dogs and watching them work for you, than shooting birds. If you are not inclined to "beat the brush" and "go all day" or if you want some help in getting your young pup started off on the right foot, then Skip is your guide.
