What Our Clients Say About Us and the Products and Services we offer:
These are a small sample of the several "thank you" letters and emails we have received from our client's: Northwind Grouse Habitat Map Books: "Thank you! Thank's so much for sending me [one of] your Grouse Habitat Map book. I have been hunting this area for over 20 years and the book showed me some places I never knew existed. Then I went to an area I rarely hunt and the results were fantastic! What these book's are, are tremendous time and money savers. I run my own business so I simply do not have the time on week-ends to prospect for new areas. Now I don't have to. I can simply take your book and my GPS or topographical map and be right in area's that are environmentally friendly for grouse and woodcock. I used to go for year's and sometimes not hunt new covert's. No longer. Thank you so much for this service. Anyone who does not spring for the price of these books is an idiot. My time is worth far more to me than the little these books cost. The complete set is less than a trip to the Dakota's, and you have them for life!!!" Ken Mac Donald, Sturgeon Bay WI "Ann, I received the map [book of maps] last week and it looks great. Wow, I couldn't believe the amount of clear cuts that are all within spitting distance of my cabin, that I have never even hunted!!! 4,000+ acres of what should be prime grouse cover. I think it will take me years and years to hunt it all. Anyway, thanks for the map. I look forward to scouting a few of these places out this summer next time I am up at the cabin. Sincerely, Greg Dahl, Mpls., MN" In the March/April 2005 edition of the Shooting Sportsman magazine our Northwind Grouse Habitat Maps were featured in their Field Test section. Enclosed are several great photos of the ending to a much successful grouse and woodcock hunt my wife and I enjoyed under your guiding services. Between Skip's work on a rainy Saturday morning and Ann's leadership on a sunny Sunday, we managed to flush over 27 birds. This was great action for 8 hours of hunting, a large credit goes to your hardworking dogs Bean and Rain. Your willingness to adjust schedules worked to our benefit, and Chris and I are most appreciative your your guide service professionalism and vast knowledge of the art of Wisconsin upland game hunting. Even with my 20 years of grouse hunting experience, I was still able to refine my skills of identifying grouse habitat and activities.... Best Wishes, Bill and Chris Robbins Nov. 20, 2006
"To All: I just wanted to drop you guys a quick note of thanks for the excellent maps and guide service you provided. My Dad and I had a great weekend of hunting and really enjoyed hunting behind the 'girls' [Teak & Belle]. Your recommendations proved fruitful, see photo:"
"Ann, thanks so much for the day of hunting. Mark and I enjoyed and appreciated how you share your knowledge of hunting grouse and the environment, etc. Ann and Skip, you guys rock!! Thanks again for your kindness and hospitality." Ginny Schulz 10/19/04 Northwind Grouse & Woodcock Clinics: Ann:"Thank you again for your assistance and guidance this past Saturday. The combination of clinic and guided hunt with both your dog and mine working together was extremely helpful and also a really enjoyable time. Using what I learned, in cooperation with one of your map books, the rest of my weekend hunt produced a record number of points and flushes, and a great Grouse dinner to boot. Thank you again for all of your assistance. I will highly recommend your services to anyone looking for a guide or just how to become a better Grouse hunter." I wanted to share with you the enjoyable grouse season me and my 2 year old Brittney 'Cola' had this past fall. After taking your seminar, many things I was doing made sense and I began doing many things you discussed that really increased my success in this season. Being able to tell the age and six of the birds gave me something to share with my hunting pals, but the item that produced the most for me was your advice on approaching a pointed bird and cutting off escape routes. Thinking about this and observing the cover made the approach on a second flush much more predictable and productive. My season was a great success, taking 71 birds and getting my dong on dozens more. I recommend your seminar to any one who wants to learn more or confirm with the experts on what they think they know about this great game bird. Thank you for your help in making this past fall the best ever in the woods with my dog who I consider my team mate. I can't wait for tomorrow...it's one day closer to September 15th. Take care, Karl Schwartz, Saginaw Michigan." April 9, 2007 "I just wanted to say thank you for the seminar on Thursday night. I am still impressed with the knowledge and passion you bring to the educational arena... The sign of a truly great teacher is the ability to get people to learn at all levels, and reexamine their passions...the ability to look at perceived old, and discover new wonders, and most importantly inject a new love of the material. Thanks again and I hope to someday be able to visit you and hunt on your home turf. I am sure it would be highly educational." T.J. Hendrickson, Shakopee MN March 30, 2007 "Ann and Skip - I attended your PRO clinic last night in Madison and I can't believe what you did to me. You caused me to not get any sleep! The whole night I was tossing and turning thinking of ways to apply my new knowledge gained from your course to the areas I hunt. I had recurring dreams of the perfect point on a grouse followed by the perfect shot and retrieve. I will be evaluating the whole 'food source' differently, using the back door approach on areas the grouse almost always elude me, and refine my map usage. I would like to say again, I appreciate your instructing skills, knowledge base, and the lock of pushing your products approach you take." Scott Bradley, Madison WI Feb 24, 2006 Northwind Sled Dog Adventures: "Dear Ann and Skip, We were excited to receive the CD with the photos and video clips. It reminded us of our great experience with you all in the Northwoods. The sled dog rides were outstanding we really had a great time...Best wishes for a Happy New Year." Bob Woods, Cedar Rapids OH
